I was really having a great time. I was doing some small jumps and must have just landed funny...I installed a new one and no more issues...I never readjusted it from stock...But I haven't really pushed it as hard as the past three days...

Your slipper is too tight, but that looks more like the spur gear then the tranny gear?

Well after it happened I figured that it was too tight...I am not really sure when it comes to that adjustment where it is supposed to be yet...When I went back out with the new one...it was a little slow in engaging so I tightened it a bit..This is my first time messing with this aspect of the car....I don't follow the second part of your question...Is that not a Spur gear...lol? If not I am really confused...

It is the spur gear, but you said you smoked first gear. First gear is inside the tranny.

The reason your spur is getting torn up is because your gear mesh is imo too loose. Take a piece of paper fold it in two and readjust your spur/clutchbell mesh. This should take care of your problem.

Thanks for the advice Vb....I will check that out...however

This is one I haven't figured out yet...Which screw(s)/bolt(s) are responsible for that adjustment? I will look at it a bit harder later...but I have looked before and don't want to untighten or mess with something I don't have to...

oh yea. Ig uess i skipped that word

Whew thought I was losin it there for a minute...LMAO.

To adjust the spur gear/ cb mesh you use the screw on the outside of the engine mount.

The bottom left of the pic is where you adjust the cb/spur mesh. It moves the back half of the engine up and down in turn adjusting the mesh.

I wish I had a better pic to explain how its done, maybe sombody else will chime in and help me out.

Nope,

We are cool! Perfect....I see it now. I kinda figured that was the one it was...I just wanted to be sure!!! Thanks.

With the paper folded in two, it is nice and snug. I think my slipper may have been too tight...On this particular jump I did not get off the throttle quick enough..It kinda hit on the back left wheel wheel at 3/4 throttle...could have been the reason it broke. Anyway, I have another spare in case....Thanks for the Tips...I have been wanting to try the 40 tooth for some hill climbing and now I know how to adjust it when I do....

Be sure to lock you adjustment down once you have the mesh where you want it. I use a dab of lock tight...the chap stick style stuff, in the end it is screwing into.....let it dry up overnight....good to go....I have even taken to marking the mesh line on the engine mount with a permanent marker in case I need to take the engine out for other reasons ...so when I put it back in I have a guide.

And if you ever do take the engine out....be sure to replace the star washers on either side of the adjustment screw interior.....with out these you will throw spur gears like crazy....trust me I have box of them....;)
