are you talking about smoke around the glow plug , check to see that the glow plug is tight, somtime fuel will do this as well till it burns off after getting warmed up. check the head bolts as well like duramax47 said to
Get the engine warm with a hair dryer, then tighten the head bolts evenly, in a star pattern. If that doesn't work, you may have to take the head off, flip the shim over, then re-tighten.
ok so i took the head off flipped the shim. heated it up retightened the head .. made sure the glow plug had the copper washer then retightened that. made sure all my batteries were good, checked my needles pretty sure they are at factory settings, heated the engine to about 160F and tried to start it.. it actually did start but it quickly dies .. the most it idled for was about 5-8 seconds
If you had an air leak before, you'll need to re-tune it now. Odds are, you had it tuned as well as you could with the leak, but without a leak, it could be way off.
hell yeah i love you all thank you guys for all of your advice. got the whip running real good idles perfect runs nice. took it out in the yard made sure nothing was wrong .. got antsy took it off a ghetto built ramp (something went wrong in mid-air) came down directly on the front right suspension wheel blew off and broke upper a-arm and bulk FML haha MOST FRUSTRATING HOBBY IN THE WORLD gotta love it tho
