I'm not sure why, but my spur gear keeps slipping on the slip plate.
was running a metal spur gear but the screws that hold it togeather fell out (had super glue on them) so i swapped back to the plastic spur gear.
i tried swaping out the plate and the pad no changes. as soon as the engine gives out some torque it spins it loose.
the nut isnt comming out, and right now its as tight as it can go.
any ideas?

You have overheated the plastic spur, which causes the metal bushing to push through the spur. Also you have glazed the slipper pad and metal plate.
Install a new spur plastic preferably, with a new pad. ligghtly scuff the metal slipper plate with a fine grit sandpaper.
Replace the locknut, it is probably the root of your problem. It's hard to see but they do back off when they wear out. If you do not want to replace it, use red loc-tite on it and let it dry for at least 4 hours before you drive the truck.
Tighten the nut down just until all the spring coils are compressed, stop there.
Set like this it should last a long time unles you run it hard on grass. Tall grass is rough on the clutches.

I got one of those awile ago. And 5 out of the 6 screws fell out with only a 10 min run. Bought more of them and i put red loctite, but still 4 out of 6 screws fell out...pretty cheap-a** spur if you want my opinion.

But after that, i got the Robinson Racing combo 48T/16T. And still runs strong.

thats the exact one i had, first run all but one fell out and the one that didnt snapped, right now its being held together by one
i might try the one you suggested if i can start getting my packages sooner.

ok, i put everything new for my spur gear, nut, gear, pad, slip plate, thing that holds the slip plate. ran her for a tank takin it nice and easy, filled her back up hit some hills, got a couple jumps and then she starts revvin a lil higher, take a look and shes slipping again.
am i doing something wrong?

That usually fixes the problem.
Make sure the truck rolls freely with the engine off and the electronics on, work the brakes while you roll it. Sometimes the linkage can cause issues at full throttle.
If the truck does not roll freely check the brakes, diffs and tranny for smooth operation.

Just a thought, you are removing the film from the back of the pad and adhering it to the spur aren't you? It's a sticker and has to be seated really well on the spur.

Got a photo of your slipper pad and plate after you take it apart so we can inspect it? Take a photo of it installed first as well.

truck has no breaks right now, just got the piston for it today.
i dont have any pics right now ill look through the gears see if theres one i didnt clean up.
i put the metal one back on, and got a racing clutch bell and she was running strong all day.
