Can someone tell me the diffrence other one moves side ways and the other is pulled around in a rotating motion. What are the advantages and disadvantages of each. Thanks and have a good day.

Well there's two types of racing, off-road and on-road. For off-road I just use a rotary carb simply because most of the time your "off" and "on" on the gas. You're not using the throttle on the off-road r/c car in a smooth linear pull of the throttle. Now for on-road racing the slide-valve is a slight better in the transition from low end to top end. But slide carbs are not for the beginners; they harder to setup properly. Simply speaking, just stick with the rotary carb unless you have mastered the art of the nitro motor tuning and setting up part. Good luck racing Team Associated

IC well then i should prolly never own a slide =). But i have 3 lol o well thanks for the post

In saying that what makes them harder to tune and set up anyone?

Not really sure.... I run a slide carb on all my Nitro's, & love the smoother throttle response... :)
