I was just wondering where anyone was setting there slayer shocks at and having best results?

I have mine with very little pre-load, like 5 turns, on the back and none on the front. It takes some getting used to driving. When I first got mine, I thought that the truck had issues. Now, almost 2 years later, I have almost no trouble steering. Stronger springs helped, sway bar kit helped, but it still takes some learning as to what it can and can't handle

I'm waitng on my carb to get here should be anytime. I looked at a review of the slayer and noticed that they were almost all the way out. As far as I know these are the stock springs and shocks. Should I leave them out or try adjusting them back in? I've noticed it sits pretty low like that. Will prolly try it out like that. They just got done doing laying water pipes across the street have quite a few blocks tore up. Noticed when I was out there earlier had some nice ramps I might have to go try out. Will prolly put it out of commission fast.

So this is what nitro is all about.....:) ran great where is some wood I can knock on???? Only problems I had was one set screw came out of the sway bar and sh***y ground clearance....I set them to the way you had them ran good on solid ground and dirt except would bottom out if you tried to climb anything....dirt pile to ramp over ect...I only had one scare besides when I brought it in and seen sway bar was off...got a rock stuck in back wheel while i was pulling sum donuts was like well I want to go straight now figured it was bearing locked up..if there is bearings there...but took wheel off rock fell out ran great since....again knock on wood

I didn't like the low clearence either and I put stiffer springs on it. It helped a lot.
I'll look when I get home to see what springs I have on

That'd be great. I talked to guy runs hobby shop in burlington he said he didn't know what lbs rating they would be. He said they are just color coated to let ya know. Also what type of oil are you running in your shocks?

I'm also having problems keeping a good idle. Watched the videos on youtube by squirrel & when was adjusting went by the tuning guide they have on here. I've had it close to a minute idle but never over a min like it says on the guide.

What type of clutch are you running in that. Both ones? Think they're going to need replaced.

I run 40wt oil in the shocks. I haven't had a chance to look at what color they are yet.

Which clutch are you talking about?

I tightened the slipper clutch up but the fly wheel was chewed up from the clutch in there. So was just going to change them out. Was also kinda thinking about switchin everything to a revo frame. Not going to fork over a big amount of cash for just the frame. If going to do that I'll just buy a new revo & just get the A arms for the slayer to widen it out.

Did you ever have a chance to check the shock springs you're running?

I'm thinking I'm going to need a new stearing servo now. When I took it out last night would just make like a grinding noise when it would turn the wheels once they got to all the way they would turn. Before it would only do it one way but now it's doing it both ways.
