Kevin Talbot is my favorite of the web truck killers. Duperbash, RCDude81, and ThunderRC are high on my list too.

The 2 shock tower screws where they screw into the chassis, the plastic stripped out so the only thing holding the rear on is the 6 screws holding the transmission on.

I've always loved the non-symmetrical travel of the rear traxazz shock to A arm travel...love that arch how many washers or screws to fix that?

David, how much chassis flex do you get with a full length battery strapped in place? Shorty battery strapped in place? Can't tell from the angle of the vid. Is there a battery in the tray? Is the chassis taking the bulk of the force from the drop, not the suspension? Battery acts as a chassis deflection minimizer and stiffener?
Also the tires look a really hard compound. No flex at all in the sidewall to take the shock. Weakest link is the chassis and only thing left to take the shock. It flexes.
Slo-Mo is a useful tool. Back '08, Griz published slo-mo and high speed still images of his nitro top fuel dragster. We all learned a lot about chassis launch from those vids and images. Keep up the good work. 'AC'

I did not have a battery in the car at the time
I ran a shorty pack last night but isn't in good health so will run standard size stick packs for now on
I might test it out tomorrow with a stick pack strapped in.
Tires are the clay track slicks. Jconcepts smoothie greens. "Super soft compound" Well thats just the tires. Side wall is usually pretty stiff anyways.
Wonder what I can do about those 2 screws going into the chassis from the rear shock tower. Maybe a drop of CA glue would hold those in?

The tires for my buggy, which are ellipses silver. Still a super soft compound, but feels softer, maybe because they are broken in more, as its 4WD, and with traction compound. These SCT tires I had barely ran yet.

Hey, David. Regarding the 2 chassis screws for the RR bulkhead. That's a critical interface. Were it me, I'd buy a replacement chassis plate and swap it in.
As an interim, using longer self tapping screws might work. Axial makes button head allen self tappers. Used them wherever I could on the Rustler chassis I recently built. TRX calls for M3 x 12mm at that location, at least on my parts list. Axial offers both M3 x 12 and M3 x 15mm in self tappers. Use one of your thin tools or a drill bit as a depth gauge to see if the hole is deep enough to take the longer M3 x 15mm - it'll give more thread engagement.
