Sirio .30 Roto Start Monster Truck Engine


I was looking at Horizon Hobby
s website and found out there is a new sirio engine coming!!! Due out this April! Holy crap I am getting excited!!!
 
nope just a link on Horizon's site. I went to trinity but found nothing,

There is my next engine come tax season...if the specs are my style.
 
might be mine too when I sell the fantom....hey the fantom .27 is a pretty damn good deal on a BB engine too...I'm very impressed w/ it......has more bottom than the Sirio .27 did...or maybe I just have a better clutch now....oops nevermind...
 
it is great don't get me wrong...maybe I'm just better at tuning now than when I had my sirio...but man I ahve to be careful not to punch it and bring the wheels right off the ground.....and I'm running a buggy drivetrain in my MT....that alone is hard to make any RC get up on its ass end.....
 
it was bound to happen eventually. the new Collari .30 is made by star motori, the same company that makes sirio. which is why they share cases, carbs, and head castings, among many other parts. the difference is the Collari is made to Lamberto Collari's specs. so they had all the stuff to make it already there, it was just a matter of making it to sirio's specs.
 
I'm really curious why the new crop of MT motors are less expensive than the .21.

You can buy an SH .28 for ~150, Collari for ~200, Wasp .28 ~150, and I'm sure there are others.

I bought a Sirio 27R and that sucker cost me close to 300.....

LOL Who knows the reasons? Maybe their costs are diofferent then these other makers that will sell the lower 21's for 500 up
