Hey guys.

Maybe you guys can help me find an exhaust for my GT. I am looking for an exhaust header that will fit a sirio .27 or a collari .32 exhaust outlet. These outlets are smaller than the other one i had (the ofna hyper 8 port), and therefore, my old exhaust setup wont work. Do any of you know where i can find a header to fit my collari .32? I need one! Any shape (if its a U shape, i can cut it in half and use it). I dont care, just please help. I have searched all over Tower, and dont really know what I'm looking at, so hopefully someone with experience will come along and help me out.

Thanks.
David

VB, thats a good idea. I have one of those, and it is still a little big. I have a larger than stock exhaust gasket on there too (i believe its a THS one). I need a fatter gasket and it will work (with a little cutting :hehe:)

C'mon guys, i know someone here has a collari .30.. what do you use for a header? Plaid, didnt you have a sirio .27? What did you use?

unfortunately I bought it used, Barely but it came w/ the mutant maxx chassis set I bought from a neighbor who got in WAY over his head.....he had a hobby shop put most of it together...I was pretty newb at the time too which was why I got rid of it....too much power and hard to tune for me at the time...wish I kept it longer than I did now.......I think it had a stock JP-2 header...I know it was U shaped.....aren't there different bushings you can buy for them??? do U have a LHS you can bring it in and see what fits??? I'm going to mine today, I'll see if they have an answer for you.....

On my collari .30 I can use the stock savage header or the THS 8020 header. you need the stock purple exhaust gasket from the savage for either headers. On my picco 27 (i believe the sirio 27 is nearly identical) they provided a black exhaust gasket which fits also fits the savage and ths header perfectly.

Yah, i have a LHS, but they dont carry any big block exhaust headers... I already went in and asked... I'm gonna PM bruce to see if he can get the Werks header...

Half of a U or a C... My original was a regular ofna header sawed in half...

the issue you're having doesn't seem to be "what" header to use it's more the configuration or shape, right? have you tried one from an MGT or Losi? I believe those use a sideways engine like the STs do........or is it just the outer diameter of the exhaust port hook up on the crankcase?

OH yeah I explained your application and got stupid stares from the new guy......oh well...if the intelligent guys are back next time I'll ask them.....

Now thats funny!

Anyway, yeah i tried a header from a MGT and the end is too big around for the port. I just want something like a U shape that i can hack in half and use. I tried the on-road style headers and they hit the rear tire. Most headers dont fit, because they are too bulky around the port area, and they hit the backplate, making them not fit... I'm gonna bring in my GT to my LHS when its all done and ask for something stupid like a shock mount... act like I'm stupid... they offered me jobs already, but i dont have time for a job right now, i have school to worry about...

the only thing he said was "you can't put that engine in a RC10".... even after I said it was a custom made application...I have a feeling he won't be there long....

Maybe you should print out the pic and show him... My engine mount will fit all big block engines, except for those huge ass .46 and .70s... my gt is more of a novelty now, but i still love it!
