This is something i thought up b/c I am super tired, but does anyone else besides me think that theyre could be a market for a single race super high performance engine that is around 60-80 dollars. Its justa thought

There would be a market if you could have a super high performance engine at a super low price...it's like selling a ferrari 360 modena for $20,000 new. People would buy, but it's not feasible.

i agree. If anybody was to market a single use engine it would definately be expensive cuz it would be the best of the best. No holds barred engineering. If a person was to spend money on an engine for one race they'd be spending that money to win. Then there's the question of market. Is there one? I'd say no. Not enough at stake for a manufacturer to spend that much money on research and hopefully have people buy it and not enough at stake for competitors to spend that much money (probably upwards of a multiple hundred bucks easy) for one race before needing a rebuild or whatever. Now is the stakes were raised way up and competition was tight enough I'd say yeah. But until the day that Bristol Motor Speedway sells out for an R/C race I'd say we probably won't see any single use race engines. But holy poop that'd be cool!!!
