RC Driving Style
Hi, well, my dad thought my new RC car i ordered was going to be an electric one and he just found out that its nitro and he wants me to send it back because it will be too loud for driving in the street. He says though that if we find a way to silence it or find a more discreet place to do it its fine.

Anyonehave any silencing ideas?

I think they make mufflers for RC planes that attach to the pipe... You might try one of those.

Tell him that you can't send it back
If you run it during decent hours of the day you shouldnt get to many complaints... talk the neighbours and see if they mind... They might be cool with it, i know myn are and sometimes get half the street out watching me cut laps of my track

Get one of those silicon deflector tubes for your pipe and point it toward the sky. That will redirect the sound, they're only like $2.99 or so and they seem to make them a bit more quiet.

No offense but there's something wrong with your dad, i mean most rc users will not run at night and if neighbors complain during the day well who cares, you're not breaking the law. I know my savage came with a noise reduction adapter but i am not using it, i love the sound not to mention the smell.

i got a .28 engine and the silicon deflector takes alot of the noise away
