Signed the contract

Well I have officially signed the contract and droped the first 1/3 payment for the basement project today. They are now on the clock. They are contractually obligated to finish the basement within 120 days from today. Woo! Hoo!

I will take pictures and post them as the progress starts to happen. We have an appointment with the floor covering folks tomorrow, and the cabinet folks on Thursday afternoon. Hopefully I will have a finished basement by the time the NFL season starts!

alright man cool. did you take pics of it before they started? thats what my mom did when the basement got done. i guess she wanted to see exactly what they did. hope all goes well.

Yeah, I am going to take the before pics sometime this weekend. Just so I have a log of what exactly been done. I will post some this weekend or early next week. I am so excited!

Congrats Tom...Now ya just got to stand over them all day long so they do the job right and not take any short cuts. Offer them some lemonade and roast some wiennies for them, If they know there getting feed there more likly to do a better job. At least that was the experiance I had, My kitchen turned out awsome. But anyways, I hope it all goes smooth.

I was seriously thinking about the black and silver motiff! LOL Actually the RC room is going to have black and white tiles. I am going for the checkered flag look. I am not sure what color to paint the room yet. I can't wait for this thing to be done.

I ordered the La-z-boy this weekend and looked at a theater chairs. I think that is the way we are going to go down there. Turn the TV area into a theater room. I hope to have some pictures soon!

Oh man I can't wait! It is going to seem like forever to get it done. They are not going to be working on it every day. It could be the end of August to the begining/middle of September before they are done. Take care my friend.
