I have a 053 side exhaust on my revo and I'm curious if there is something I can do to make the exhaust not cover the rear tire and control arms etc with nitro.

The best you can do is get an exhaust deflector and point it towards the center of the truck so it shoots most of the crap down onto the ground. You still get some crap on the arm and rim, but not as bad.

Yeah thats what I was thinking. I just wonder how long one will stay on the end of the 053. There isnt to much for a deflector to hold on to.

you could attached much guards to the rear arms. The guard would take the brunt of all the oil and dirt, which you'd still have to clean off the mud guard.

I'm not even sure if mud guard can be fitted to a revo.

If you flair the stinger a bit and rough it up with mild sand paper, clean the stinger with DA and use two zips to hold the deflector on, it should hold.

Nice. I didnt even think about going to side exhaust was going to spray the whole side of the truck and tire with nitro lol. O well shes running like a beast now so o well.

Be warned though that the deflector might alter your tune a bit. When I first started running Nitro I ran one to keep things cleaner....and it did...but my truck started running like crap ;-) So I removed it....problems went away. Won't happen on all engine/pipe combos so for the $4 it's worth a try.....but cleaning it up is pretty easy ;-)
