hey dudes i jus put alum arms an bulk heads and got a mip pipe but every time i break it cuts off and its difficult to start i tried to tune not working it something to do with the idle i think..... it wont even idle i have to give it full throttle to start then wen i break it shuts off ...

I don't know how much tuning you have tried to do, but if you reset it back to factory settings and you still have the same problem, you might need to clean your carburetor.

Both a friend and I had the same issue with our Revos and after a clean of the carburetor it went away and things have been sweet.

It might also be an advantage to run an inline fuel filter. That might stop some dirt and crap getting in there in the first place (I am not running one yet - but I really should be getting one ASAP!).

I have heard that you may need to adjust HSN and LSN settings a little richer when running a new or different pipe, but I would have thought that factory settings would be rich enough to be safe all the same. I'll let someone else with more experience on aftermarket pipes confirm that one though.

Up your idle a bit, when you do this it will idle real high. To fix this richen up the low end just a hair and your problems should be solved.

It could also be a clutch issue. If your clutch shoes are dragging constantly it makes for hard starts and stalls on brake.

Although, as stated, it could just be that you need to retune for the new pipe.

My mate's Revo was doing this too until just recently. We didn't bother at first because it was only rare for it to stall, but it got more and more frequent to the point where he was not running for more than a minute at a time - at most!

Turns out the carby was gunked up with grime and other crap. Took apart the carburetor and gave everything a nice clean - especially the HSN and LSN.

Ran it tonight for the first time since the clean up. Ran amazingly, had lots of fun!

Don't overlook a dirty carb! :)

edit: I would also check that clutch out before going to the effort with the carb - pretty common issue with the stock clutch shoes breaking. Reverse the way that they are installed and have some more fun with them before chucking them in the bin. :)

How did I manage to stick a reply in this thread twice? Oh well, at least the information is accurate!

I knew I was tired last night, but I must have been on Autopilot or something...
