Revo_Rob, This ones for you !! as per our "discusions". hehehehe

Ok, leading in from my prior thread on this (located here https://www.rcnitrotalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=70946&highlight=show+revo )

I have made some progress in the parts department and what you see in the photos stalled six months ago and has been stored and thus needs cleaning of the dirt accumulated through that storage period. I Will let the photo's say most of it, except to state that from now on in, what can be purchased in alloy WILL be alloy.

when it's finished we can BOTH live the dream !! and you know full well what i mean !

heya addict, i'm going for the durability more than bling, that is just the side effect. hehe'

Looks like it's gonna be the right combo of both! I like that you went with the satin finish. Not your run-of-the-mill upgrades. Something fresh!

errr.............you haven't seen th tranny case or fuel tank yet. polished alloy, the pair of em.

I'm wondering how to "satin" finish them, maybe some spray on etching (like etch primer maybe) or something else? I'm not sure......................................

Hopefully that isn't going to be a shelf queen.... Looks good otherwise.

don't swear hamz (shelf queen), this rig is giiong to be used when it's finished, there would be no point in building it otherwise.

But yes, as much alloy as is possible, oh, and robinson steel where possible too. All i have to think about is power-plant options that can take a rear mounting exhaust like the stock revo.................................................

No Titanium????? I found a full length Ti skid plate for my 3.3 and my links are also titanium. Really light and really strong.

hamz, worry not I have things in the pipeline and I am looking into Ti parts but we will see what happens. Not convinced by Ti just yet.

hmm, Ti reminds me of "Tube Investments" (don't ask, it hails from another hobby)

This rig is gonna take abuse, so some things need to stay on the "cheap to replace" list. If that means steel links, then it means steel links.
