RC Driving Style
I currently have a pro.15 Maxx. Last year I upgraded the axle shafts, turnbuckles and a-arms to the newer 3.3 style. I want to upgrade the engine now. Should i upgrade to the 2.5r or the 3.3? What are the pros/cons to both? Is one easier to tune than the other? I've always had problems tuning my .15 but i hear it was a poor design anyways. What else would i need to do to mine in order to upgrade? I'm afraid if i upgrade to the 3.3 that i will be breaking parts left and right.

What are your opinions?

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!

Well, I'd go with a 3.3 and be easy on it until you can upgrade the trans. At least upgrading the trans by installing a FOC will help.

IMHO, the maxx should have never had anything smaller than a decent .18 in it. Too heavy and too much rotational mass.

Even with a rich 3.3, you will get good power, but not so much that you blow the drive line apart.
