Should I trade Slash 4x4 for Savage X 4.6

Just as title states.
I'm just getting into nitro and in the last two week have acquired a T-Maxx 2.5 a Revo 3.3 and a nitro rustler(kinda bit by the bug). In a previous career I was a Certified Master Technician so I'm real comfortable with any suck and blow engine and so this question is about value $$.

Would you trade a very clean Platinum Slash for a very new Savage X 4.6?
With the nitro trucks I recently got should I go for another or wait for the new Gasoline Savage?
