And I'm glad you said this.....

If there is one bunch of guys who probably WONT argue, its the Kyosho and Mugen guys. Trust me when I tell you..... Reason being, they are the 2 best of the rest. And both VERY close in competition. Its almost a coin toss or who did a better job of tuning suspension and gearing to win that day. The symantecs of these 2 rides is virtually paralel.

I say 1 buggy forum is fine for all buggies myself. But I'm just 1.

I think you clipped that qoute a little short! when you read it this way it shows my point to similarities! not in racing set ups!

Don't get me started... however, I will say that the Storm has done quite well against both of these in competitive races. I've also seen a Storm dominate a Kanai. However, as mentioned, driver and tuning have a lot to do with it.

lol

NM - I intentionally cut it short for that very reason lololol. I'm a Kyosho and Mugen Loyalist and not afraid to admit it. However, I was going to buy Humboldts Storm Pro just to make my own personal assessment on that ride. But, he sold it before I could buy it.

Anyhow, I have nothing against any ride. I do however have my favorites :bling:

MUGEN RULES - OFNA SUCKS !! LOL -sorry had too :p:

Yeah,, I was gonna buy it too, glad to see mcvickj bought it though!I will get to see it run at the winter bash, I think I will have to run over it with my BFT!. I also have my favorites lol!

Heheh....I am hoping to be buying an engine for it next week. That way we can both beat the crap out of NA's EB-4. :-p I am also planning on bring my Savage down. :) Do you have a video camera? Maybe NA does. That way we could get some footage to see how the Savage and BFT compare.

damn guys - post this stuff in the bash thread - need to keep it fresh - btw, no i dont have a video camera, but i think NCNitro does, and no one can beat my EB4, so dont even try

mcvickj, I would have a video camera If I wasn't getting that damn BFT, I am going to the lhs today for my new radio(lynx 3d) and some misc. storm parts, If I have enough left over I will pick up the truck today! hey! got an extra bulkhead? lol!

The above few posts is exactly what I was looking for when I made my statement above.

If we put all the girls in one room and all the boys in another room how are they easily going to learn about each other.

That may not be the best example but I'm sure you get the drift. Buggies for the most part are built using components that are similar in nature. Discussions about pieces and parts in general apply to most buggies. Setup info, tires and wheels, shocks, chassis, engines, and all the other "general Info" would be segmented making the info more difficult to absorb.

Being lazy by nature people would tend to go to the info in a forum that was about their buggy rather than reading or sharing their info with all the buggy users.

One might argue that the MT is broken into different forums but in my opinion the T and the Savage are much different in design. Different chassis, transmissions, stock engines size, shocks, and the list goes on. Most savage users wont benefit from a majority of the T info. Some is the same but not much.

If you read the buggy threads you will see brand specific info is not as demanding of an issue as it is in the MT forums. Pipe issues are the same, tires, engines, diff fluids, and several other topics are all the same un like the MT forums.

I still vote no.

More info available quicker.
I will quote a member from another thread.
" its more smarter "

I knew I could pound the proper answer out of at least one person.

This is a GREAT debate.
Everyone has valid points both pro and con.
I don't know of another forum that has the user passion that this one does.

IMO The forum structure should be all about getting the most info in an easy to find format.

People have different surfing techniques than others do and absorb info in different ways. Storm forum or no Storm forum, Its just a matter of pleasing the most users as possible without loosing or fragmenting the info.

Keep posting! Puff-Puff, Pass....

I voted like that to kinda meet in the middle. I really didn't want to have the sub forum, but was trying to be agreeable to some extent.

Well so far we seem to have a 19 to 8 vote FOR at least a sub-forum.

Once we get that, my plan is to start a big uprising demanding a forum for fellow New Bright owners broken down by specific model, year manufactured and color.

pfffft... kinda grabs ya by the boo-boo

Good question WoodiE, most buggy owners have a Storm or Storm Pro.

The two questions are will it be friendly and at the same time help attract new members to your site. If this forum grows the to size as some others then will it create problems with threads totaling 20-40,000 in a single category for the forum members and users?

If you were to decide to create a single sub forum or separate category would that show favoritism towards a particular manufacturer? Or will it be construed that since most buggy owners have a particular brand of vehicle and therefore the majority rules?

Let me complicate it a little more for you. My thoughts are either a single forum (simplest) or break it down into the most common manufactures categories and subcategories similar to what some of the other forums have done.

My vote would be for separate categories with subcategories.

This is why I suggested this idea in the first place!

I say keep all the buggy info in one forum. I honestly don't see the numbers to justify one specific buggy forum over another as there is with T Maxxes and Savages. I really did not even notice much action in the one forum until HB started pushing buggies, and building that forum up, now it seems as everyone wants a buggy. I don't have a buggy yet but would really like to get one too. As another member mentioned where does it end. Next the Kyosho guys want their own forum, then the mugen guys, I just dont see enough buggy owners to justify splitting it up, at least yet. Just my .02

Kyosho and Mugens dont have enough problems to warrant their own forum so dont worry about it....

ROFLMAO!
