Should a GS Storm Forum be added?

In response to this thread, what do you think - should a new Storm Forum be added?

I will vote yes on the sub forum, but if you are going to do it for Storm, do it for K, Mugen and HB Lightning, question is where do we stop?

I think this really opens a bad can, and this is my last comment on it because I don't want to beat a dead horse. My opinion is stated and I will leave it as such.

I understand your point HB, and mainly the one about where do we stop? One thing I've tried to do was create forums for the VERY popular R/Cs, such as the T-maxx and Savage. Yes I know there are dozens more monster trucks out there, but I think it's safe to say that those two are VERY popular.

If and IF a new forum or sub forum is created I think we should do the same for the other buggies. I agree the Storm is pretty darn popular here, I would go out on a branch here and even say probably more popular then the other buggies out there.

However I also side with you as I commented in the suggestion box that to many forums/sub-forums is an over kill. None the less we'll let the members choose.

i voted yes on a sub forum. should a sub forum be made for the inferno and mugen too? sure! but thats it.

out of every member here who posts alot - i bet those three buggies account for about 90% of them.

I agree with letting members decide even if it's not what I want (as much as that is hard for me to swallow) it is a board for the users not for me. I appreciate that you take that attitude WoodiE.

If u do it for the mugen, etc. Then other request are going to come up in the other catagories as well. I don't mind on the sub-forum, but a line has to be drawn as to how many sub-directories are to be made.

Ok woody! you went out on a branch here and said this and I can respect that fully! I can also respect the dedication and pride all other members and guests have for their perticular choice of buggy! where does it stop you say? well! I think mabye all the top three buggies should have their own sub-category! I didnt suggest this to start a poop throwing contest, I just thought it was a good idea at the time, wasn't even sure of the response really! but after reading the comments of the other members I can respect how they feel about the division part of a new forum. I am not here to piss people off and if anyone is offended by my suggestion, I am sorry! I am only here to learn,enjoy, and bullshit with other people I have met on this site.Thanks for reading! No problems Nitromaniac. I totally see your intentsions were true, and the reason you wanted to start the sub forum was for good and not exclusion. We all just see things differently and we are expressing our views and opinions here.

I don't believe anyone was offended. It was a very good suggestion. We all posted our opinions and now is up to the Administrators to decide what would be best for the forum.

There is no reason for you to be sorry about suggesting something. I wish more members would give feedback - good or bad. Regardless of what some may think, I try very much to make this a place for you guys, not myself.

So far by the results of the poll more people are in favor of the sub-forum. We'll let the poll run for another day or so and see what happens. If we need to add a sub-forum we will, that can be our beta forum per say. If it takes off then we'll make it a stand alone forum like the T-Maxx and Savage if need be and maybe add other buggies as well. If it turns out to be a dud then we'll remove the forum.

I voted for a sub forum. I say we give it a try for a month. If there isn't enough activity we can let it go by the way side and keep it in a thread.

I think it is a good idea because it will only post storm things but i dont think it is a very good idea becaude if you make a gs forum there wouldnt be much of a 1/8 scale buggy forum because thats what most people talk about in it so i think it wouldnt be a reall y good idea then you mit as well just forget the whole 1/8 scale forum. But who ever disagrees with me thats fine but if you dont like what i said and I'm totally of I'm sorry.

I voted for the sub-forum. I am a Storm owner as well as many other RC's. Personally, I think trial and error is the only true way to see If the sub-forum is worth while. If it's not, then it gets canned and we go back to the way it originally was. No harm done.

People really don't need to apologize for their opinions here, it fine to disagree with whom ever you want. An opinion is a welcome and great thing as long as it's your own and you believe in it, so no apologies.

I am glad you said this FE! although all buggies are similar, they are definitly not the same! the arguments people have about them is too impartial for this to be true! The guy who owns a kyosho is gonna always argue with the guy who owns the mugen or thunder tiger or storm or what ever! mines better because of this or that! you hear and read it all the time! I think its great that their are so many to choose from! I own a storm, do I wish I owned a Kyo or mugen?, Hell ya I do! and someday I will! do I wish I owned a Duratrax buggy? No f$%&king way!! Why? beacuse I know the difference! And I learned the difference right here on this site!
