How did you get that to work without creating little legs for the lower end to move the shock away from the upper arm? Do you have a photo straight down so we can see clearances?

EDIT:
Oh wait... that's not a savage is it? Plastic sliders for axles?

By looking at the box in the top left corner of the picture, my detective skills tell me that its an E Savvy..

yep, its an e-savage. that is an old pic from when i first got it and was comparing shocks. on my old S25, i used aluminum round stock from ace as spacers and it worked great. this is how it sits now.

Love the way the E-Savage looks with those phaltline tires(with BLAST or TREMOR rims dunno can't see) but ANYWAY...nice trucks:D

What can I say..R/C cars make my spidey sense tingle, lol.

YEP!!! I agree.;)

i've never bent or snapped an lst shaft. you can always go TiNi if you think you will.
The TiNi is just an annodised coating for less friction. They are not any stronger.
Nice rigs guys.
I do not see any negative controversy or ill will here. Just two different guys with different experiences.
I used to launch my Savage off a 4 foot vert ramp at 40 mph..... that will break any shock sooner or later!:hehe:
I have paced off some of my jumps, going well over 30 foot in distance with around 15 feet of air.

i had the stockers and they lasted all of 2 tanks. then i went to the aluminum hot bodies ones and they bent with less than 1/2 a tank on them. i finally went to the LST's and never had a problem. i did stop bashing as brutal as i was before so that may be why they lasted. the thing i love the most about them is the handling.
this is mine even before the exarm conversion. it handles soo much better than a stock shock equipped savage. mine just used to roll over alllll the time on cement.

I definitely agree about the handling. 10X plusher and better/consistent damping.
Rough terrain they really shine. I liked mine as well, but the weight was too much of an issue for my race Savvy. That and the repair cost when beating the hell out of them bashing.
