Hey guys I'm tired of my stock shocks poppin caps off. Whats a good set to pick up? I know I know stay away from integy...

Poppin caps off...weird...no wait...depends on the driver true. Never happened to me, what do you do that makes them pop off?:p:
 
BASH BRO! ya... thats about it...

I popped 3 off one day now they wont stay on very well. Hit a jump got about 12 feet of air... landed just right i guess or maybe wrong...

True basher my friend, but Damn i honestly never popped one, and I'm not very nice with them trucks either...............weird? anybody else got some busted shock like that? oh sorry Popped shock i mean.:hehe:
 
You can look for a conversion kit to use LST shocks. Great upgrade. LST monster shocks on that savage would be a strong suspension upgrade.

I've popped the top on one shock in all of my bashing. I screwed it back on haven't had a problem since.

WARNING: Big jumps on asphalt is not good for shocks! One bad off-camber landing = broken shock body!

I dont think I want to do that cause I want to keep my RPM arms and I dont want to spend that much on shocks and the kit and all that. Anything I can replace the oems with? Like metal ones? Or???????

hpi offers in their hot bodiess line of products metal shocks as a upgrade. A712 is the part number i was thinking of getting them but i decided to rebuild my stockers with heavier springs and such
 
I was thinking the same thing as NitroJoe. Oil too heavy or springs too soft for the level of bashing you're putting it through.
 
I run 40wt... I fill em all the way up... I thought thats how you were supposed to do it.... lol I think I need a run down....
 
My shock didn't break on the mold parting line! :D
