Stay away from integy and hot bodies. I tried the hot bodies threaded shocks for the savage and broke most of the 8 within the first tank of fuel.
If you have the $, either go with an LST2 shock conversion or go with nova/fastlane towers and 8 rear buggy shocks. The 8 buggy shocks is about as tough as a setup as you will be able to get. Most can get by with 4. Crazy people (myself) opt for all 8.
However, I don't know if it's the trucks general design or what, but my Aftershock (LST's cheap cousin) drives much better than my savage did with or without the buggy shocks. It even feels a bit more planted than my revo. If it's the shocks causing this kind of handling, then I say go for the conversion vs buggy shocks. Unless you want to jump off buildings... then go with buggy shocks.
