RC Driving Style
well I'm running stock shocks right now and i have a question if i just get like 60 or 70 weight oil and some titanium shafts will it make them just as good ad the big bores and if not which are better big bores or integy and what purpose do piggybacks serve

Nothing you do to stock shocks can upgrade them to the quality of aftermarket shocks. I prefer big bores with heavier springs and lighter oil, say 30 - 40wt for major air.

I run the stock shocks but have altered them some:

Installed the RC Raven Dual Rate Springs all the way around
http://www.rcraven.com/shocksprings.htm

Installed the RPM Shock Pistons
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0095P?FVSEARCH=80430&FVPROFIL=++

And run 40 Weight Trinity Oil all the way around
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXKB51&P=7

The setup is pretty good for my driving applications, since I like to bash & race. She will take a 6-8ft drop & not even bottom out. I don't do anything bigger than that, so I couldn't tell you how she performs.

So for my budget - driving style - & not wanting to add more weight to my truck, $35 was better than $90. But EP was right, if you plan to do some major air, the Big Bore's are the way to go.

hey this has nothi to do with the ? but digital liguid which part of nc you from I'm from charlotte if your anywhere near charlotte then maybe we can race sometime or somethin

ok thanks but which are better big bores or integy and what purpose do piggybacks serve

I also run the big bores. 30wt up front and 40wt in the rear with RC Raven dual springs.

I run the Losi/Dynamite threaded body shocks on mine, with RPM two stage pistons, trinity blue springs all around, and 50 weight oil. I really like the way it handles, as well as taking big jumps.

The jury is still out on these. I also have a set of trinity blues which I am going to put on after a few more runs with the ravens to see which I like better. I may also run a combo of the 2.

The blacks are my next choice if I don't like the ravens or blues.
