I have a t-maxx 3.3 (stock) and I heard from one of the workers at the local hobby shop that thier was a rear shock tower mod which lets you take off the inner shocks (at the top) without taking any other parts off .What I need to know is it a new rear shock tower, and if so where can I get one, or do I have to drill all the way through and insert a longer nut and bolt.

Its probably just drilled out and longer bolt put in. Thats what I've done and its alot easier than pullin engine and sometimes tank to pull the rear shocks off.

ok I can do that thanks. but know where can I get the nut and bolt. Is that something that the LHS should have.

In most cases, yes. Your LHS should have some 3mm hex head bolts and 3mm lock nuts.

I ran a solid bar with linkage collars on it when I had a max instead of a bolt. You can see it here:

This was a RPM tower on a 21 conversion t-maxx. The photo was to show a repair I did on the header from the shock tower being smashed into the header and puncturing it. That's also why it looks like the RPM tower was cut down in the part by the header. I was trying to make room for it to move so it wouldn't smash the header anymore.

I was running four UE SuperMaxx shocks on that truck.
