what would be a better shock setup up for me. the only thing i really like to do is jump, and the stock revo settings seem like they are a little too soft. would it fix this problem by running around a 40-50 wt oil. or should i change the springs to. i don't really like how it sags so low for when i am bashing and need the ground clearence.

There was a post here before.
Put the rear spring to front and buy another set of black spring for rear.
Change oil to 50WT, and use P2 rockers.

i'm using the LT springs, p2 rockers and 55wt shock oil...this thing handles amazing and it sure won't be bottoming out anytime soon with these springs. best part, the springs are included so all you'd need is shock oil and p2 rockers.

another good set-up seems to be green/tan as myjeep stated. green is stock rear and tan is next step up (rears need to be 20% stiffer then fronts supposedly)

alright thanks, i need to go buy that stuff. thanks guys.

what about the springs that came with the long travel kit with the revo? can i put those springs on my 90mm stock suspension? they seem stiffer than the reg stock ones

yeah, i was woundering if i can use the long travel kit instead of the p2.or is it best just to use the p2.

alright i bought 17lb springs today with 50wt oil. how should i set them up. should i put all 4 on, or should i use different ones in the front like one of the extra pairs that came with it? i am going to use the long travel kit if that makes a difference.

yes, thats what i have on. they are silver front (28lb/in) and blue rear (33.7lb/in) springs. they fit on the p2's no problem and with 55wt shock oil provide good rebound. this set-up would be great for big jumps...i'm just not sure the shock ends will handle the heavy dampening and big air, so you may break some of those.

also adawg, the rears should be 20% stiffer then front. stock front white is 16.6lb/in and green rears are 20lb/in...so 17lb/in is not an upgrade.

go to this link for spring rates
http://www.traxxas.com/support/pub/revo_performance_setup_guide_part1.htm

you want them in pairs, for example. orange front and gold rear, green front and tan or black rear. silver front and blue rear. look at those spring rates...the rear is always 20% stiffer then the front.

you can also use #2 shock pistons front (stock rear) and #3 in the rears (comes with the revo) for increased dampening. its all in the link, check it out

so purple, (or 17lb) isn't good to use? i kind of at least want to use them in the rear because i already opened them. what spring is 20% less then the purple. i'm useing the p2's or should i just use the stock ones.

are the springs you got from traxxas? if so purple is not 17lb/in, its 36.5lb/in the stiffest available!

if you have the 36.5lb/in purple springs they are going to be crazy stiff and you'd need pink fronts. i have the silver front and blue rear and with 55wt shock oil its already very stiff.

oh, and keep the p2's they work with any springs and are better then the stock p1's.

check out the chart in the link, also where do you plan on running this thing, bashing only?

shock oil seems to make a very big difference as well, my 55wt is a huge difference compared to stock. i can drop the truck from 3 ft and it won't bottom out. to me this means its ready for the big jumps.

also, if i were you, i'd go to the traxxas forums, more help available, just read up on the first few pages and faq sections.
http://monster.traxxas.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=55

so it really depends where you springs are from. if they are traxxas then its 36.5lb/in for purple which is the stiffest offered. i'd probably go atleast 55-60wt shock oil if you decide on the purple/pink combo.
