Hi all. I would like yalls opinion on the best WT. of oil to run in my shocks. I have a T-maxx 3.3. I dont race it, I'm just an old backyard basher. Thank you in advance.
 
I'm just like you but a little more hardcore i run mid wt if u run it to heavy then ure not going to have good handling same with too light i would recomend mid wt
 
if you do alot of big jumps and all you could run my setup.

45wt all around, trinty exxtra heavy springs on the outer 4 corners, and stock on the inner 4.
 
if you aren't jumping and want great handling...drop to 20 wt witrh a med spring....I'd recommend the RPM piston head change too you get more custom shock settings for a few bucks....the traxx-ass big bore shocks are a nice (fairly inexpensive) upgrade for the T-maxx too.....
 
For a better handling and adjustability and durability, I would look for a set of 1/8th scale buggy rear shocks. Threaded or not its a great upgrade. If you bash I would just get non-threaded but if you do get threaded I would still get the clip on limiters so you know exactly what each corner is set to.

45 bucks or so.
 
the stock weight is 40 i think, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

but yeah you can't go wrong with big bores or 1/8 scale really.
