Sup fellas I'm just about to build my shocks for my pcr pro and was wondering what weight oil to go with for the shocks? plan on bashing mostly with some big jumps, would 60 wt. oil be to much? right now i only have the purple springs that came with the kit or should i stick to either 40-45 wt oil?

Thx in Advance

If big jumps is your flavor, then go with the heavier oil. The lighter oils are better suited for the technical bumps, i.e., washboards, doubles, triples, etc. If you find 60 is great for the big jumps but it's too much for the other areas you are running on, go ahead and drop to 40-45 wt., and see how that goes. When it comes to shocks, oils, and setups it's alot of trial and error. Good luck and have fun.

cool mang, 60 wt. it is thx for the feedback

i'am running 35 wt all around in my pcr with about 3/4' of pre loads in rear and 1/2' in the frount...i take some big jumps with it.works well with this set up.you don't want to go 60 or 65 wt in there on big jumps you will blow out the shock caps...my 2 cents

I would disagree. I have found heavier weights are better suited for washboards however running heavy weight in shocks for big jumps tend to make the RC blow pistons.

If you're really planning on taking big jumps frequently I would opt for 20 - 40 wt.

I agree as the increase in density causes blown caps/pistons and since youplan on jumping hard I would try a light oil. I myself use the white springs on my PCR PRo and 35wt all around.
