I have a 79 bronco trx4 and I have gone through 3 shift servos and just replaced the last one yesterday. I took it out to test it, and it got really hot and quit working. The same thing happened to the other ones but I can't figure out why. I have wired them the same way as stock and been using injora shift servos instead of traxxas. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be causing this? Much is appreciated

Are you using the stock radio? If you are it may be worth getting the bluetooth module for it so you can set the end points on it. I would suspect that’s what’s burning them out 🤷‍♂️
Yes, I will order one then and try it, thank you a lot

What Lost said above.

If the servos are essentially over turning, that can be it. Basically if the linkage isn't moving any farther and it's at its max and the servo is trying to still steer it more. That's what end points are for, since the servo doesn't know when to actually stop steering in terms of the linkage at max throw.
