Could be a effort just to make myself make sense to myself , but how many shelf queens do you have , and did you get them for that purpose or did it just happen that way ? 🙄🙄🙄 , I e got like five , not cheap stuff , things I got with plans to upgrade , but then it happens again , and the others just get left behind or left on display , while I try to make sense out of the next purchase , any ways when my wife comes to pick me up from couch specialist , I'll stop by the local hobby shop and see what's up , but I'm sure she will take me home via the scenic rout , away from there in some way , but I'm hoping I'm not alone in this , or maybe I should just stay on the couch and get the war inside my head figgered 😂😂😞🤢😞🤢

I don't know, I've got a couple pieces I bought and have never run. A 1/16th scale Slash 4x4 that I don't think about running because I just don't have batteries for it. A sailboat that is horrible to transport and just sits there. The Bolink truck that I built and wouldn't want to damage it in any way.

It's been years now since I've raced nitro rc...over the years I've had many cars and then one day I sold almost everything by my own choice. To this day I end up with four nitro rc's: two Ofna LD3 Pro new out of box, One Ofna CD3 Pro in kit to be assembled and one Edam Spirit. this is all I have now. These nitro's I decided to keep them as collectible rc's on the shelf, but maybe one day I'll go back to racing with friends? That I don't know yet now....

My TT02 will be on the shelf until when I get around to buy tires for it.

Very nice cars , that's a great use of shelf space to me , one of mine is a arrma fire team , right out of the box it went to a display shelf , for a reason I haven't come up with yet , another is team corrally kagama , I was gunna upgrade some things but got cought up in a losi super rock rey purchase that I couldn't pass up on the price, but it's sitting behind all my Taylor trophies right now , and our weather is getting better , so I'll bedoingthe Taylor rigs and the rock rey will prolly be forgotten for a while , which brings up a question FREEEEEEKN why !!!

The closest RC that I have to being a shelf-queen is my Sears Lobo monster truck (aka Nikko Big Bubba), its an old "toy grade" so its kinda unfixable, but its what I ran as a kid. The ESC was shot from countless puddle runs, so it has a HW1060 buried under the shell. The non-replacable brushed motor is very rusty, but still works.

Otherwise all of my shelf-queens are either old die-cast toy cars or models, if I don't feel like using an RC I'd rather sell it on and use the funds on my runners.

Shelf Queen here is the R4E Wedge resto. Purpose build chassis for full-prep RC drag racing. Campaigned it 2009-2011. Restored it last fall as fully operational with upgrade 10.5 HW BL (original motor lost to the ages was a Novak Ballistic 10.5R brushless). Even found crystals for the original FM radio.

Action image is 2009 RC World Finals quals in San Antonio, Texas.

I have 5. 4 Kyosho's - Turbo Scorpion, Javelin, Beetle, and Ultima. And one RC10 B4. The RC10 was a gift. Yhr Kyosho's were all bought for the shelf. I want to collect the whole set of Kyosho Legendary cars.

No shelf queens here. I don't blame anyone for having shelf queens, I get it. They are awesome and you want them to stay that way. You have to be true to yourself and do what makes you happy. :thumbs-up:
