After several elbows to the head Shamrock wasn't defending himself anymore so they stopped it.

The whole card pretty much sucked

Tito might fight Chuck La dale (sp) in November...That would be good!

I also wanted him to win, he really wasn't hurt that bad. He jumped right up ready to go but they had already called it, I have seen him take a lot worst. I was pissed at first but in the replay you can see that he would not try to block or swing back.

Another early Herb Dean stoppage. It was inevitable though, Shamrock didn't have much of a chance. The first elbow was strong but the following four weren't too solid, IMO. They all want to say in the interest of fighter safety but Herb Dean has a history of stopping fights a bit too early. I agree, the whole card sucked bad, wish I could get my money back from that one!

Ummm, what does Chuck Liddell have to do with this thread. Of course he's still the champ, he hasn't fought since February and will fight next month against Babalu.

I was pretty bummed about this fight as well. Glad I watched it at a bar and didnt pay for it. I'm old school when it comes to UFC, So I like all the old guys. I miss Tank Abbot. That dude was fun to watch.

I have to say I haven't watched UFC in a long time and from what I saw it's going to poop just like boxing! I remember the first time I watched UFC it was tournament style, taped knuckles, no rounds, no rules, no stopping until there was too much blood or someone quite....Now that was entertainment.

Tito will have to wait in line though, Babalu is first, then given Chuck beats him (again) Chuck is fighting Wanderlei Silva (former UFC, Tito actually beat him) and current Pride FC LHW champ. Tito is supposedly on a three fight deal with Ken being fight #1, though I'm a bit hesitant calling it "fight"
