any ideas on how to lower my ride height on my first generation T-Maxx?
this is a stock suspension i do have the proline wide offset wheels on it but i want it to sit alot lower. Are there shock limiters or another alternative for me to achieve the lower settings without buying another suspension?

Well, your obviously using the shocks without spacers on the springs already. If the old maxx used spacers, that is.

You can put fuel line on the shock shaft inside the shock to limit how far they extend. The only thing with that is, the silicone oil eats away at the fuel line over time... Another idea I posted a while back instead of fuel line was to use 3 or 4 of the shock o-rings under the disk that are designed to seal the shock instead of fuel line. They are less likely to deteriorate on you. Might cost a little more, but you shouldn't have to do it again.

A ghetto way to do it also would be you could use some zipties on the shocks. Why do you want it lower?

I tried that, it doesn't work to well. It's hard to keep it even. I didn't really do it to lower it, but rather create a bump stop for my arms... found out that I just needed to get buggy shocks :)

lower

I want to make it lower for racing.low center of gravity. but thanks for asking.I should have mentioned that earlier

Hey Olds
I am using spacers but they are the smallest ones that came with the truck. If i use your method with the fuel tubing it would last a raceday correct? have you tried this yourself? want effects did it have overall on the performance of the suspension

I started out with the gen 1 max. I added the Pro Line A arms and made it lower and wider, then did the 2.5 conversion.
The new Tmaxx has been lowered and widened, so you can also order the standard A arms for it, and it will now sit at the height of the new ones. Not sure, but it might even be a bit cheaper than the Pro Line.
I would still recommend Pro Line since I've never broken an A arm, but have seen several New Tmaxxs need replacements.

what were u stoned? lol. i did this with no problem at all.

Rolex- the Pro-Line kit and the 2.5 is basicly the same, the shocks tower and the a-arms are almost identical.

the fuel tubing eventually rips and falls apart and then u got a good mess in ur shocks.

do a search, there is plenty of threads on this. do a search as lowering or somethin.

later
