I put this engine in a co workers Savage and from day one it was nothing but trouble. Hard as hell to break in but after a long struggle it ran good. That was about 3 weeks ago, he came to pick it up today and more trouble. It started on the first pull...I'm thinking great then a few circles around the yard to get it warmed up and it just died. I went to start it again and the engine was locked. I pulled the back plate and noticed the race (spacer) that goes on the crankshaft where the rod connects is gone and there is a poop load of metal shavings. Hopefully there warranty will be better than there engines.

After all of the good things I have read about this engine I was thinking about selling my HPI 4.6 and dropping this into the Savy...I'm glad I decided to wait!

SH is not megatech. I would buy any sh engine for any application. I've had a .28, xtm 24.7 (made by sh) my dad has had a 24.7 pro, and the sh .28.

Neither of us has had any problems with any of them. Like I said before the next rig that I can bolt in any sh engine I will do it.

Yeah what he said.
I think XTM and SH are tied together someway?
Should have a pretty good warranty on it, I would think. If it was bought at Hobby People I don't think there would be a problem. They are great to deal with. At least what experience I've had.

I don't have one, but I've been watching the SH engines on this forum and Hobby People's. When they first came out there were some problems with the connecting rod's breaking. Hobby People actually quit selling them for a bit. Didn't recall them, just told everyone to run the piss out of em. If they had problems to send em back. This was July of last year. Here is the post. http://globalservices.globalhobby.com/globalforum/viewtopic.php?t=13089

#8 post on that page. Contact Craig, see if he won't hook ya up.
Let us know how it goes.

Sh makes all kinds of engines.

SH
Xtm
Mach
STS
LPR

There are a few more but I just can't remember right now.

Well I contacted Global Hobbies and I have a problem. I missing one very important piece of paper....the warranty card. I have the sales receipt but without the warranty card there is nothing they can do. I have a cool looking paper weight now LOL

That sucks!! I would say at least it was cheap, but that is NO excuse.

SH also makes the stock mills for the GS line.....BO1/BO2, the GS .25 is a .247

I really thought they would've hooked you up. I never had a problem with Hobby People.

Knock on wood, if I bought something there, they stood behind it.
How is this, bro? Not sure if you are registered, so I took the time to post on their forum. http://globalservices.globalhobby.com/globalforum/viewtopic.php?p=161126#161126

Hope ya don't mind. I hope I got everything worded (sp?) right. Maybe it will help?
Really sux that they would do you like that. Let me know if anything turns out there.
