RC Driving Style
i just bought a t-maxx traxx .15 engine, 4 wheel drives truck. I'm confused as to where the throttle return spring connects. it is just hanging on to the linkage at one end and that section of the craburator slides all the way out. seems like the linkage helps keep it all in tack.

this is prolly the worst. the idle adjustment screw fell out  today racin around the desert. i had to adjust it by using the trim on the reciever. can i get a replacement, and is it safe to drive it without one until i can get a new one? does anyone here have one?

it's about 70 degrees here in cali. where should i set the hsn (how many turns from the beggining)? it seems to be running fine but i want to be sure as i hear adjustments to changing conditions are key to long engine life.

does anyone have a front skid plate they want to sell? it seems the person that had it before me ran it into a curb.

both servos are broken from their screws. should i just replace the stock traxxas 2018, and the futaba s3003? or is there some other you recommend that is better for about the same price?

i think this is it for now. thanks and damn these nitro trucks are fun.dogs and horses dont seem to care for them to much though.

The spring should be up against the servo horn and there should be a round metal cylinder with a tiny hex nut in it ti tighten it that should be at the end of the spring so that the spring is compressed between the clamp and the servo then you can adjust how much tension is on the spring by moving the clamp one way or another. I'm also new to the T-maxx but my guess as far as the idle screw is not to run it with out it !! you might get small particles of dirt in there which will find there way in to your motor destroying it. The 2018 servo is for the throttle and you can get one fairly cheap on ebay and the stock servo for the steering is a 2055 its high torque they are a little more but you can find them on ebay at a decent price. I'm sure there are better ones but you probally would have to put out more $$$$. Check out ebay for a skid plate also I would recomend a RPM they are super strong and have a life time warranty. I have them on my rustler and they will take a serious beating :) good luck with getting your truck fixed up. I'm still messing with mine trying to get it tuned right I've had mine about 3 months or so they are a blast also welcome to RcNitrotalk :)

isnt the 2018 the steering and the 2055 the throttle/brake?
No its the other way around mabe the previous owner switched them you want the 2055 servo for the steering it has more torque and you need that to turn the big T-Maxx tires :)

I have a spare throttle servo you can have.

Woo HOoo what a nice guy :) well now your halfway there!!!

Upgrading the steering servo is a good choice if you have to buy another one anyway. Like a hitec 645 or something.

i thought this truck had reverse on it. are they supposed to have reverse stock? maybe something is wrong.

i guess it is the steering cause (they are switched around)) bless your heart jeese g for the servo. I'm gonna need that money i was gonna used to buy a servo now to get a new front-end. hope they're not pricey (DAMN). i've played with this car for about an hour spent over $200 and now have to get a front end. damn no one told me this hobbie was going to get this expensive...

maybe i'll fix it again and sell it to pay my $383 speeding ticket i got. today has been a money headache TO MUCH TO DO AND NOT ENOUGH MONEY. when are scientist going to invent a money tree?

Is Jesse giving you a servo too?

Lol if I had one I would I need to replace some of my own lol actually it was .21Rc10gt who said he would give you a servo. SO bless his heart hehe

yeah i got the handles confused by the qoutes. off to get a front knuckle and a skid plate.

one love all.

The futaba s3305 is a good solid servo and is pretty cheap at tower. I ran one on my maxx when I had it and I now run two on my savage (throttle and steering).

Little tip, buy 2 and replace both the throttle and steering with them. Throttle servo's tend to burn up on my MT's due to the excess use of brakes. The little standard servo's just can't take the punishment. Plus, the extra torque really locks the tires up and moves things faster to give you better throttle response.

hey Olds I was looking at those servos will they work with the stock TQ3 radio and reciver.
