i just replaced my spur gear and need to now how to set the slipper clutch. how much turns dose the bolt need to be?

thanks.

I'd start at 1/2 turn backed off and tighten from there if there's too much slipping for your taste. I have mine right under 1/4 turn backed off like olds.

Face it into a wall and loosen it ip 1/16 of a turn until it stops trying to climb it.
The idea of the slipper is to act as a weak link in the drive train. When you are jumping and land your drive train will take a beating if it can slip a bit until the rpms can match up. Dont make it to loose or you wont go anywhere in a big hurry.

Nice tip there Ed, that's a much faster way of setting the slipper clutch. I'll remember to do that the next time I replace my spur.
