Minor radio interference, a loose antenna on your transmitter, or maybe a broken wire on your receiver.. check your connections and go from there

tried at 10 ft., same issues, should i just upgrade to a 2.4hz. i have heard the older radios and receivers have issues.

I had similar issues about 6 mos ago with stock Traxxas AM radio setup, my servos would twitch on the work bench ( they never did this before here and I have not made any changes to the work area aka garage). I upgraded through Traxxas to the 2.4 Ghz FM system and have not had a problem since. The FM has longer range uses less batteries and now qualifies me to race a the LHS's track!!!! :D

Hey Racer your correct, my bad, FM is in the MHz range. I did upgrade to the 2.4GHz from traxxas and even went from 3 channels to 4 channels for possible future expansion. Not sure what yet but it's a comforting fact that I have them if needed. One thing I've considered is servo controlled lighting. A micro servo for aircraft apps shouldn't weigh too much and turning the lights on/off by remote would be pretty cool IMO.

i pulled receiver lots of moisture on the circuit board. will look on ebay for 2.4 ghz, is it the one with ant. pointed forward? or straight up? and will receiver work with model 4910 servos? thanks for any help....

their the same, the antenna has a swivel on it upduring use and folded down for storage. Check the Traxxas website , they have a lifetime upgrade policy on electronics and engines.

and yes it will work withe 4910 servos or aftermarket. I running the OEM throttle servo and a Hobbico heavy duty servo for steering.
