If I put this JR servo into my revo how crazy would it be because it says with a 2s lipo it's got 480 oz of torque. I see how good the Hitec 7955 tg is at 333 oz. so how would 480 oz. be?? haha

EDIT: I found this servo which is $50 cheaper and at 6v which I have the traxxas 6v flat pack, the servo has 403 oz. of torque! Wow I'm definitely getting this one soon!!! :

I know it probably would be crazy but I wanna really try it and see how I like it, but at 200 bucks, thats a lot! How is the tower hobbies TS 170 cause at 6v it has 333 oz. of torque like the hitec 7955tg which is like another 40 bucks???

Really anything more that 200oz in the revo is a waste. I ran a single hitec 985MG in mine with the HD servo saver spring and it could overcome the spring if I held the tires. It was 176oz.

well right now i have the stock, dual waterproof servos in there and together they provide 250 oz. of torque which is ok, but I want more with a single servo so I think that a good Hitec is my best bet!

The Ts-170 will blow away the stock servos. That is a great servo. I used the Hitec version. It's so strong it will bend parts if you do not set the servo saver and end points correctly.
i also had it in my Losi Muggy, it would pull the front of the chassis up a few mm's if I overshot the end point adjustment.

thanks scrogg, i think I'm gonna try the tower hobbies ts 170 to start out with, and ill get the traxxas hd servo saver spring, but what do the end point adjustments do because when I get a Dx3s I wanna know what thy are and what they do for the truck.

EPA's allow you to control electronically via the transmitter how far the servo travels. You set them up usually just to be a hair short of the mechanical limit, then the servo is never mechanically limited. This helps with servo/parts life and battery life.

The DS3S will definitely have this option.

Your turn the wheels and adjust the EPA until the wheels do not turn anymore. Then it is set. Don't change your trim afterwards as this will change the entire movement of the servo. Subtrim is used for minor centering corrections.
I highly recommend the Futaba 3pm MX 2.4ghz FAAST radio system. It's much better than the DX3S radio. It's much faster and more precise and has better range. It also has a failsafe. I love mine.
If you want a Spektrum go with the 3R. Just my opinion, but I have owned or used all 3 different radios.

oh ok, i just thought that the dx3s would be easier to use for my first digital radio as it has one scroller wheel and a large display on it. but the 3PM MX looks really good. how about the 3PKS

yea I'm like really trying to figure out what to get in like two weeks when I'll have the money from my confirmation.

The 3pk is aimed at racers, it will blow your mind. The 3pm MX is the most versatile radio out now.

yea, I've heard it all from my lhs and I really dont know what to get but the all three are on my mind!! haha
