i got a mx3 it is good but i would look at the jr3 i think it is both are fm 3 channels
i think they are both a good deal but if u can't get the jr3 it has a few extra things... that u may/may not want

the mx3 is $100 to $117 the radios come with recivers they also come with servos but not much power for the mx3 the JR XS 3 is around 175 but i dont know if it comes with a good servo sorry i wasn't much help
and i am sorry i dont know much about the JR XS 3

It's ok thanx for your help.=devil

Any one else have any sugestions?

:redbuggy:  :mex:

The XS3 is actually a synthesized radio, and costs in the vicinity of $240. The XR3i is fm but still requires crystals. I believe you can get the XR3i for about $170 with two servos.

For $175 bucks you are looking at the lower end of the radio spectrum when it comes to goodies. Most of the decent radioes for that price do not come with servos or any frills. When you are done buying the required extras, you might as well have laid out the 200-300 for the full set-up.

How about we narrow the field? You need how many servos? What desired charateristics in the servos? What features if any do you desire in the radio? How many channels do you need (this number should match the number of servos...but may not)? Let us know what kind of things you want out of this radio set-up, and we may be able to find something to match...but do not be surprised if it doesn't come in under the price tag you mentioned.

i just want like a basic 3 channel radio with high torq servos strong enough to handle a hard thrashing. i mean I'm puttin the stuff on a new savage ss

Fair enough. Why the third channel? Doing a reverse module? If so, reconsider and that may make your price tag workable on a quality two-channel radio.

It has its place, but I can honestly say that I have only seen it used once or twice. Both times it was to get a Savage that somehow ended up standing on its rear bumper back onto its feet.

So...what am I trying to say? You could probably save the cost of the module for something else and go with a 2 channel radio. If you really have to have reverse (ie you love it so much on your Nitro Sport that you couldn't live without it), then go for it. Just realize that the reverse module costs about $40 and the radio to operate all three channels may not come in under $175.

Thank you for proving my point ;)

So...am I looking for a 3 channel or a 2 channel?

3 channel so if eventually decide to get the reverse mod i dont have to spend anothe $175-$200 on a new radio

Well you may still want to look at the JR XR3i, it is a three channel. four model, fm radio that is in your price range. And it comes with two servos.

I managed to get my JR XS3 on eBay for $175 out the door. It is a very nice radio. There is a guy that has one for $220 new. Spend the few extra bucks now and you will be happier in the long run.
