What are you using it for...........steering or throttle/brake?

Never mind, with 417oz of torque, it will do whatever you need it too.

Plenty of torque but whats the speed.I would say you want .15 or faster for steering.I think it will fit not sure what they mean by fat bottom case?

When you drive like I do, the speed of the servo really doesn't matter yet. :D

You know that is a robotic servo, I would go with the Hitec 5955TG or the new version is the 7955TG, it has 333 oz @ 6 volt and speed of .15 sec

I have the 7955 tg servo, which is the same servo but the newer model, only a few small differences. I absolutely love mine. Just make sure that you set the endpoints on your radio, because with that much torque you will be putting a lot of parts in a bind.

I just replaced all of my Traxxas 2055 servos in the revo with the 2075 Waterproof Digital servos that feature in the Revo Platinum (I think). From what I can tell, the old 2055 is an 80oz servo, and the new 2075 is 125oz. I LOVE these servos. I've gone from pretty tough steering to extreme bulletproof steering, and I used to have a problem where no matter how many adjustments I made, I could not get the carb to fully open, and the old servo struggled to hold it open even when using the lighter/weaker throttle return spring. No such problem exists with the 2075, the throttle can open up nice and wide, there is no glitching, and the brake is stronger than ever.

The Traxxas 2075 servos are going pretty cheap on eBay, and I highly reccommend changing all 3 2055s in the revo to 2075s. :)

If you bought the 7955tg would you need two still, or could you just have one servo?

If you bought the 7955tg would you need two still, or could you just have one servo? Not including the throttle servo.

You only need one as long as it's strong enough. With the 5995TG being rated at 333oz @ 6V, one would definitely be enough.

I ran a hitec 985MG in my revo when I had it. It was slap the tires back and forth with ease regardless what surface I was on and even when stationary. It was only rated at 172oz.

The 5995 does swing a bit further than normal servos (full 180 degrees vs 120 degrees) which requires that you run a radio with adjustable endpoints. If you don't, you will be snapping steering parts like twigs, killing your receiver pack and possibly the servo.

Running stronger servos also requires that you run a stronger servo saver spring:

May also be recommended that you run an aluminum servo arm and steering arm:

Take a look at the bottom of this page, it shows you:

Must be used for mounting or something in planes? It appears to just be a case bottom with a threaded insert in it.
