Servo with throttle problem.......

I've got a HPI Savage 25. When I cut the radio and servo on the throttle immediately goes and sticks wide open. When I press the trigger up (what should be reverse) it will close. I've already checked the batteries as well. Suggestions?

Are you saying when you turn off your controller your servo opens up the throttle?
If so your controller should be the last thing your turn off.

If when you pull the trigger the throttle closes then you need to reverse the channel for that servo. Depending on the controller it can be as easy as switching the channel switch on the controller.

No the other way around. When I turn it on it goes wide open on the throttle.

just tried to switch the channel on the controller, no dice..........i turned the throttle trim all the way down on the controller and that put it back down to about half throttle.....

It may be because your linkage arm is not position correctly. Disconnect the linkage from the servo and the power on. Function the throttle and if you have movement in both directions. If it moves in both direction turn the trim into a neutral position and with the throttle released reconect the linkage to the servo with the power on the controller and the truck. If the servo only move in one direction or dose not move, plug another servo into the same channel and see if it works. If it works the servo need replaced if it doesn't work you may need to replace the receiver.
