Hey,
I just got a Himoto Rapida Pro. Brand new, and I turned it on, everything worked fine (servo-wise, I didn't start the engine). Then, I plugged in the Failsafe and it also worked fine. I had trouble fitting the cables in the receiver box, so I kind of stuffed them in and screwed it down not all the way. When I turned it on, the throttle servo stick would turn, but I think it was rubbing a little against the plastic cover of the receiver box. After that, the servo for throttle would kind of inch back and forth, only when the controller was on. When I tried to brake, it would inch that way. I changed batteries, and it still happened. I unplugged and replugged everything in, too. The steering works fine. What's going on? The failsafe is NOT connected, and I still have the trouble so that's not the issue.

Thanks!

Welcome to the site!

It sounds like a cheap servo biting the dust, unfortunately. Himoto-branded servos are about as cheap as they come. You can get a Traxxas or Hitec servo to put into the car for less than $20 USD.

Did you try switching the two servos around, just to make sure it's the servo?

How about manually moving the servo horn (with the power off) to make sure it rotates freely?

Do as HeartBreak said. Try switching the steering and the throttle servo. Ur prob going to need to get a new serve. I got 5 Traxxas ones of ebay for 5 bucks so look there.

Looks to be like the centering pot in the servo went out, due to being mounted so close to the engine without the use of rubber grommits. I'll bet that the servos' bottom is touching the chassis... Right?
