I know that this subject is brought up alot. But I would like to buy a good servo for my maxx 3.3. I have seen servos with torque of like 300 really cheap and then some that a torque of 80 and hella expensive. If you were to buy a good servo without breaking the bank which servo would it be and would I need anything to go with it like a new servo saver..etc. Living in Japan kinda sucks because if you order the wrong thing then you have to wait to order something
:n00bie:

The Hitec 645mg servo is a great steering servo in a maxx that won't break the bank. They are only about $32 brand new. The 5645mg digital version is very nice too,but you will need a radio with end point adjustments or you can easily fry the servo. For throttle and brake I have been using the hitec 625 for a long time, and they work great, also not very expensive. Both are drastic improvements over the stock servos.

I would highly recommend it, go with the Kimbrough servo saver, it will come with three spline adapters to fit all makes of servos. Once you replace the stock steering servo, take it and use it to replace the stock throttle brake servo, it will make a huge difference, especially in braking.

What about changing to the new tmaxx 3.3 digital steering servo? Has anyone thought of changing to one of these? I need to replace my 2055 and have been looking for a cost effective solution. If only the 2018 was as good as the 2055 since I got rid of reverse.

i have a jr.650 in my revo for steering does great and was only 60 bucks

Does anyone have specs on the new tmaxx 3.3 digital servo in comparison to those? It seems like the stock digital servo can be found for pretty cheap, thats why I brought that up. My t-maxx is pretty hefty with the steel geared trans, flm combo bulks, flm shock mounts, rc solutions cage and such.
