Upon installing the new receiver my rear servo would set but not respond to the controls how ever the steering works like clock work.

Anyone have a idea on what could be wrong?

tahnks jake.

Swap the servos on receiver and see if the other one works then. If so then its in the receiver or radio. I'm not familiar with that rx/tx but maybe someone that is will chime in with more help

+1 Zdragon. that will at least tell you if its a bad channel on the RX/TX. You may also want to try using a 6V hump pack instead of 4AAs. (or at least test it with 4 brand new alkaline AA's so you know you're getting a full 6V to the servos.)

The TX/RX looks alot like the 2CH Flysky's from HobbyPartz.com

I'm a right noob in this hobby what is a zdragon and its got new bats and whats tx/rx?
