I'm thinking of getting one of these as a backup if my Team Magic G4 C-Class fails me. But was wondering if the 710 is anygood? Also what is the dynamic rear steering?

The 710 will be and should be your primary racer before you know it! Much better than the G4, hands down. The DRS can either toe out or in your rear wheels depending on the setting of the spacers. I personally keep mine at the stock settings (neutral) since the car already handles like a dream.

If your going to get the 710, I would use it as your first choice for racing and keep the G4 as a backup. 710 is the better car of the 2.

As for the dynamic rear, Diver is 100% correct.

I forgot to mention that the DRS comes into play when brakingor powering into or out of a turn.

Awesome. Now for my last question... Which engine to buy... Right now I'm running a Sirio .12 TRP in my G4 (the engine is basically broken in almost) but i was wondering whether i should get a tried and true MT-12. Almost everyone at the track uses the MT-12. I hear ROAR has allowed turbo engines now? If so would a TOP or JP be the way to go?

Top and JP are both fine engine's. Just make sure that when and if you get it, it's the 3 port version. Modified engine's are allowed but all I know of is the 3 port rule.

Sirio is a fine engine. What I use is a Mugen Seki X12 and have an Novarossi S12S3A1 Race for backup (for now). I will be getting the Novarossi RR12L3 for a backup to replace my Novarossi S12S3. I will be placing my original Novarossi back into my NTC3 backup racer.

You may want to try the new Mega engine that is going to be released soon. It's the engine that Michael Salvin has been testing and using. It's the Mega ZX-12 Race.
Click HERE for the whole new Mega engine lineup (21 on and offroad as well as .12 for touring cars) that will be availale soon to the public.

When choosing the .12 engine, make sure you get the "Legal" version instead of the "sport" version.

I like the idea of having two of the same car. That way you will be used to your back up, and it won't have a effect on you times.

Don't want to derail the thread, and I'm sure it has been discussed, but what about the MTX-3? How does it stack up to the 710, and G4?

Also, how about the Mugen MR.12 (I think, non-turbo engine that comes with the MTX-3)? How does it stack up to the other engines

I've seen the MTX-2 Prospec in action, my dads friend bought one and i didnt like it... It slides... ALOT... It actually took about 1 1/2 hours to get it just right.... but i still like my G4 :D

IMO I see the 710 and the MTX-3 pretty equal, but both are better cars over the G4. The engine can hold it's own out on the track with the correct gearing. I race with the MT.12 in my MTX-3 and I do well enough with it.

You are going in the right direction if you buy the 710 I gave up on the G4 Pro E class & went with the 710 & loving it. there is so much you will see when you drive it for the first time. The motor that I am using is the Rb Rody Roam V12 3 port turbo ballastic power on demand & you will get the minutes in a sanctioned race
