Sensored motor.

I recently bought this ESC for my 2wd slash. After I placed the order I realized that it probably would not work with my VXL motor. This is not a big deal but now I need a new motor. I would like to stay under 100$ if I can. 3 cell would be a plus.

I looked around Amain but then I realized I have no idea what I'm looking for. I think its 550 sized motor, but what windings or Kv do I need? Any suggestions would be appreciated, as well as any advice on what to look for.

You can run any compatible brushless motor down to 8.5T. Being under $100 is no problem. Many new motors are well under $100. I bought a 25.5T Ballistic from Novak's site for $90 about a week ago or so.

Thanks for the info. About how many turns would you recommend for a Slash?

I do not race but I do like the speed of a brushless setup. In other words I would like it to be controllable but fairly fast.

No experience but id guess 13.5 may be suitable.
