h every1 i want to buy a car or buggy or truck that i can build myself like a kit has any1 got any ideas or tryed this themselfs? i want something quite fast but not too expensive.
Any ideas?:boating:

Building a kit is a lot of fun, many on this site have built at least one kit. If you can answer a few questions it will make it easier to give a suggestion.

What type of rc, on road, off road
If off road, big small, 2wd 4wd
Electric or nitro
What is your price range?

You'll need to decide which vehicle type you want to build. Also decide on nitro or electric? Fast and not expensive don't usually come in the same sentence. LOL What is your price range for the build?

One of the less expensive ways to build a kit and still be very fast is with a 1/18 scale. Associated has many different kit versions of their RC18T. You can get a rally car, buggy, or stadium truck all based on the same basic platform. These kits run around $140 each. A brushless motor/ESC will cost $130-150. Batteries are another 50-100 dollars and a decent transmitter and receiver will cost around $100-150 dollars.

The nice thing about 1/18 scale is that parts cost is cheap relative to the larger scales.

I'm looking at a nitro car truck or buggy and as cheep for as fast as poss

I'm open to anything as far as the scale goes any ideas? any recomemdations?

Go with the HPI Savage X SS kit. Remember when you buy a kit you will also have to buy the radio and servos for any kit you buy.

hello does any1 know of any 2 speed trannys that will fit and work on a hpi rs4 mt2 ss? I'm new to this. its a kit I'm going to make and I'm wondering weather this would fit and work if it will do u know whay sort of top speed I'm going to get? many thanks

I do not think there are any 2-speeds for the MT2. Just build it, run it, and have fun! You can always change the clutchbell or spur gear to increase torque or top speed.

hello again my new car came today so many pieces ill keep u posted on the build,
iv never had a hpi befor the build quality seems to be very good
