RC Driving Style
I just got everything put back togther and after about 5 mins of play, i noticed it was stopping WAY to fast. i checked to make sure the brake was adjusted correctly and then picked it up to spin the wheels. The fronts sorta spin and the rears don't spin at all. I think tranny #2 is gone.

I guess an aluminum case and gears is gonna be next. I don't know why i am tearing them up though. I wasn't driving it hard at all (just around the yard) Is it because i still have reverse in there? (i see alot of people with the foc) I used reverse about 2 minutes before it started this and it looked like it shifted fine. Any ideas?

Also, what parts do i need for a full rrp/metal case tranny

drive gear, forward gear,........

Look to see that all of the axles/pins arent rubbing on anything. Then, are the diffs ok? Dont jump the gun.

Sometimes a drive pin can snap also.
Take a look at the drivetrain. Hold the truck upside down on your lap, turn the two front tires in the same direction, while looking at the cup from the trans and the diff case.
If the shaft turns, but not the cups, you'll see that the pin is missing.
If the cups turn, it's in the trans, or diff.
(do the same with the rear)

ok i reread your first thread and with the 18tm ,ditch the reverse and go FOC ,you tore the gears up inside the tranny for the forward/reverse with out a doudt and you will continue to do so with the 18TM ,i know the reverse is nice when bashing but it will not handle the stress or the sudden punch that comes with these little gears when the counter wieght flys out to engage either forward or reverse
so go foward only and you should have a tranny that will hold together and it will go faster aswell since your loosing the added weight of all the reverse stuff and the extra servo

before you go spending a wad of cash on a aluminum case and RRP gears try the convertion first ,for only like 12 bucks it will make the tranny stronger and save you 100 plus dollars

My vote is on the rear diff but don't quote me on it. An almost simular thing happened the other day on my son's Emaxx. I poped the rear drive shaft off real quick and took her for a spin. The truck did great minus the fronts trying to barry them selves in the dirt lol It ended up being a totaly destroyed pinion bearing. I also had almost the same thing on the Revo, It ended up being a toasted set of spiders.

Good luck with her
Ray

PS, I would also vote to do the FOC.

well i bought a new tranny from fast eddy.

stupid ups is gonna take 10 days to get it here though. (mailed last saturday and is scheduled for a next tuesday delivery)

It has all the possible metal gears and the foc.

I am looking to upgrade the diffs as well but i can't find much info on them. I don't want to have to drop 350 on a set of UE diff's either.
