second gear?

How do I adjust the 2nd gear? The engine is running great with high rpm's but it doesn't want to shift into 2nd. Thanks P.W.

i know the feeling, and i still havent got it right, but i do know it goes hella fast enough for me to break it already!

2nd gear in what? They arent all the same! be a little more specific and will get you the answer you need faster!

If its not shifting you might want to look in the tranny through the whole on the left side which the whole is covered by the black rubber plug. Look inside and all you need to do is turn spur gear clockwise to locate the adjustment hole. Once you've found the hole, turn one of the wheels to turn the second gear clutch so you can find the adjustment screw. You will notice two screws but the adjustment screw for the shift point is the second screw. Turn it clockwise for a later shift, turn it counter clockwise for an earlier shift. Sounds like you need to turn it counter clockwise for an earlier shift. Don't mess with the first screw.

Barley turn that baby or youll be shifting into 2nd in about 2 seconds.

Yes be carefull you odont adjust the set screw then you will only have first gear heheeh...

also turn ever so slightly, otherwise it will be way out.

I had such a hard time (because i turned it so far) I almost bought a new tranny. I tore mine down just to figure it out.
