i sealed my engine last week because it was running hot ( got over 300 couple times in 30 deg weather , and my HSN was open at least 5 to 6 turns ) ..i didnt find that normal , so i did a seal job on it ;)

well..took it out yesterday and today ( 35 deg weather )..ran like a champ :D ..temp didnt go over 240 and i was still on the rich side ( but not as much as before )...its much easier to tune also :D

i also put purple springs for the LT suspension in the rear  and 50k oil in rear diff ..had a spool , but removed it , had no control on the truck ..lol...

QUESTION : anyone running spool in the front ?????..I'm thinking of trying it there ...but would like some opinions first

can't wait for the snow to melt so i can let her rip in the old mill lot ( about 1/2 mile long :D ) and old dirt bike track beside my house ;) ....yes i did say beside my house :D..hehe...and a small beach to ....all at my doorstep ;)

WORD OF ADVICE TO ANYONE NEW TO NITRO
...even if its new out of the box , it doesn't mean that its sealed ...sealing my engine dropped the temp by a 100°....and runs ALOT better :D.....

thanks to all the great info given by all the good folks on this site ;) ..could not have done it without this place :first_place:

Actually, a locker does affect handling. You will not be able to turn as sharp. It will also cause lots of driveline breakage.

I've fot a field about the size of a uk footie ground 1 minite walk from my house and that includes walking past the playground on the field great :) :P :) :P :) :P :) :P :) :P :) :P :)

..cool :D you must know how i feel then ;) haha..

will prob just keep the spool as a spare then ...will maybe put 50k in the front diff

A vehicle basically wouldn't turn with a front locker. And if it was on a hard surface, the first throttle input with the wheels turned is gonna pop a shaft. At least.
