Hi guys,

Noob here, well 1st post anyway :ponder2:.

Wonder if you can help me out with a little starting problem with my schumy. It seems to flood now and again with fuel coming out the exhaust, and the air filter gets very wet with fuel? It is annoying, as I had it out earlier today and all was fine?

Any help would be much appreciated!

If it is flooding though the air filter you are problily priming it to much. If that is not it your are probitly trying to start it too much. Is it a pull start are not?

You're over priming it. Sping the engine with your finger over the exhaust just as the instructions dictate. Watch the fuel approach the carb. As it hits the carb, stop priming and just try to start it.

Might be over priming it a bit.

Out of curiousity, how long is the pressure tube from the exhaust to the tank versus the fuel feed line from tank to carb? The pressure line might be too short adding too much fuel prior to ignition.

thanks for the feedback guys!

I am using a torque drill to start, and think I should maybe read the instructions on how to start.. I am not very good at reading instructions :ponder2:

I will look in to priming and see what i'm doing wrong!

Thanks again, and nice forum btw..
