I just put my XTM 24.7 mill into my Savage SS and holy crap!! This engine has so much torque that its hard to keep the wheels on the ground. I won't be permenantly running this engines because wheelis can get annoying, but they sure are fun for a while!

I'm running the RR steel 14/52 CB and Spur cause it destroyed my plastic one in seconds. A lot of fun and a great mill. I reccomend it to anyone.

I just thought I'd share my experience with you guys. Thanks!

I can second that I have both the Pro and the REG and when I had the Pro in my Savage whooooooooho it was insane but after my 10yr olddaughter taking over the savage I gave her the .21BB

They're VERY easy to tune. Give one a try, you won't be dissapointed :D

Probably you guys also notice that someone is selling bits and pieces of an XTM 24.7 (taken from a Mammoth) on eBay (enough to make one complete engine). But I think it would be annoying to win some parts and not the others...

Is the one from Mammoth the Pro version, by the way?

The Mammoth comes with the regular engine, still plenty of power though.

If you want to reduce the wheelies and up the high end, change out your spur gear. Wheelies are an 'oh wow' thing, but annoying for controlled starts when you're racing.

Wheelies can get anooying but the way I have it set up is that it wheelies if I floor it from a stop, but it doesn't if I don't specifically try to. It's perfect. I took it to a sand pit and it was awsome. :D

did u do any mods to put that engine in or was it a direct fit I'm trying to put it in mine and i can't get the mesh good for the spur gear

It was a direct drop-in for me. I'm running the RRP Steel CB and Spur gear.
