i really just wanted a good savage or revo..and you guys are right..the only way of knowing that i'm gonna get a good one is if i buy new... but buying new also means spending way over what i'm willing to spend....so I'm giving it alot of thought maybe i will just go electric and brushless :shrug:

i just had a look at the e savage great fun have you looked into that area.
my only problem with electric is the battery's just as your getting into it you gotta change em or go charge em up.
at one point i had 8 for my ye olde lunchbox.

hi mate.i aint looked into it that much..not sure on prices or anything... but i will probably have a few batterries if/when i get one aswell!

did you say you aint got that lunch box anymore?

Aluminum arms are for bling only and are useless for real world bashing. Once you bend an aluminum arm, you might as well throw it away. Plastic arms offer some give which is vital to prevent breakage.

If you buy it, take the aluminum arms off, sell them and get yourself some stockers or RPM arms.

it depends on which ones you get. the type that me and rolex have are as strong as stock.
 
Actually they are stronger than stock which is not the problem with them.
 
Less chance of bending, but more chance of breaking what they are attached to like the bulkheads which are much harder to replace.
 
Aluminum bulks and arms is an even worse setup. Something has to give. If your bulkheads are aluminum, then more than likely you will bend your arms since they are the weakest point even if they are also aluminum.
 
that's the reason that a lot of us that really use our rigs like RPM, it has some give in it and if it takes a hard impact it gives and then pops right back into place, where the aluminum bends and stays bent. I like aluminum too, and I have it on one of my shelf queens, but I'm strictly RPM on the ones that actually get driven.

i think i had the lunch box about 18 years ago? my memory is shot.

hey all this talk of lunch boxes makes me want another!!!.
